The Weather
In Buenos Aires the weather is mild; winter lasts from June to September and summer from December to March. During winter, it is enough to wear a coat and a scarf since it does not snow, the lowest temperatures are about 0º C / 32º F.

Languages
Spanish is the official language. Most of the people working in areas related to tourism speak English fluently and some speak other languages such as French, Portuguese, or Italian.

Currency
Argentinean currency is the peso, 6 pesos equals to 1 GBP Pound.

Public Health
There are no vaccination requirements for travelers coming to Argentina. Sanitary conditions follow the safety standards. Running water is fit for drinking. The public hospitals offer free-of-charge assistance to tourists in case of medical emergencies.

Banks
The banks are open from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.; it is necessary to show the passport in order to change currency.

Cash Machines
There are cash machines all over the city, they are available 24 hours, and you can withdraw either pesos or dollars.

Drugstores
Big drugstore chains are open 24 hours.

Stores
Big stores accept credit cards and most shopping centers accept dollars. Small stores and kiosks only take cash. In bars, there is a minimum charge required for paying with credit cards.

Transportation
